Cit-Pratibimba-Sūtram

The Aphorisms on the Reflections of Consciousness

---

(Opening Invocation)

namaḥ śivāyai cityai prakāśa-vimarśa-rūpiṇyai .

Salutations to the absolute, auspicious Consciousness, whose very nature is the seamless identity of Light and Self-Awareness.

---

The Single Substance (Ekatatvam)

citi cit-pratibimbābhāso manaḥ prakāśa-vimarśaika-rūpatvāt .

The mind is the appearance of reflections of consciousness, in consciousness, to consciousness; because its true nature is the single, undivided reality of Light and Self-Awareness.

---

The Seamless Illusion (Avibhāga-Māyā)

sadyaḥ-spandād-vicitrāyate jagan-na tu vāstavaṁ bheda-mātratvāt .

Because of the absolute immediacy of the pulse, the world appears diverse and complex, yet it possesses no real existence, being merely an appearance of division.

---

The Collapse of "Why" (Kāraṇa-Bhaṅgaḥ)

praśnābhāsaḥ svataḥ-siddhau na hi svabhāvasya kāraṇam .

The question of "why" is an illusion; in that which is self-evident and self-validated, there can be no external cause or purpose for Its own essential nature.

---

The Boundless Center (Ananta-Kendra)

aṁśahinam-acala-kendraṁ dṛk kevala-bhāsakam .

Free from the concepts of whole and part, the Self is the unmoving zero-point —the Seer that is the pure, absolute illuminator.

---

The Play of Emptiness (Svātantrya-Vihāraḥ)

cit-prakāśātmakaṁ viśvaṁ svātma-vimarśa-krīḍanam .

The universe is identical with the light of consciousness; it is nothing but the spontaneous, playful choreography of awareness reflecting upon itself.

---

iti cit-pratibimba-sūtraṁ samāptam .

Thus concludes the Cit-Pratibimba-Sūtram.
