Background

Several Puranas are actually a continuation of the Vedas. While Vedas seem to be raw knowledge as heard, Puranas are simplified story versions that often continue the Vedic knowledge in a simplified way that was probably meant for lesser mortals.

For eg., Rg Veda mandala 5 Hymn 40 talks about Svarabhanu (an asura) and how Svarabhanu overwhelms ‘Surya’, how Atri drives away Svarabhanu and brings back the Surya.

The Puranic continuation of it has Svarabhanu, during the Samudra Manthan switching rows to act as deva, only to be slain by Mohini.

While the Vedic Sloka seem to be purely scientific and maps to exact events in Universe that preceded the nucleo-synthesis in Universe, Puranic story also seem to have a scientific value, but couched in a story form, written by lesser mortals and understandable to the ordinary.

While these events are mapped to eclipses, I see the mapping to nucleo-synthesis and neutrino-decoupling as most perfect fit. There are lot of new concepts that one could learn if this mapping is right.

Between them they explain why Rudra is called Sarva-Eswara.

Svarbhanu and Surya in Rg Veda

In Vedas ‘Surya’ is not just referred to a Star. An object that provides stability and Energy (Shine) for evolution to objects around it is called Surya.

The evolution of Universe happens in seven steps from Satya, Tapa (Heat), Jana (Particles formation), Mahar (Star/Element formation), Svar (Oscillations/Fields that fill the cosmic space), Bhuva (Solar Systems) and Bhu (Planets). Each is known as a region or Loka.

The Rg veda Sloka  Mandala 9 Hymn 114 states that Seven regions (Bhu, Bhuva, Svar, Maha, Jana, Tapa, Satyam) have several ‘Suryas’ in each of these regions. So ‘Surya’ just does not denote only our ‘Surya’.

In the Bhuva Loka, our ‘Sun’ is the Surya.

In the Jana-Loka, when sub-atomic particles and atoms get formed, the Surya is Nucleus of atoms.  Nucleus of atoms provide stability and energy to atomic structures. Nucleo-synthesis was the process by which nucleus (Surya) was getting formed during the Origins of Universe.

‘Sur’ means one that shines (provides energy).  Surya is one that has this property.

Svarabhanu literally means oscillating minute luminescent particle. Svara (means three-way oscillating) bha (luminescence) anu (minute) means one which is the minute rhythmic luminescent. Svara is of 3 types. They are udAtta (Low), anudAtta (Not Low, High) and svarita (mix of low and high).

I interpret Svarbhanu as the three way oscillating minute luminescent one.

Svarbhanu  in the Rig Veda Mandala 5 Hymn 40 is said to mask the Surya and pierce it with gloom and darkness.

A mystical mountain brings out the Energy that it had drunk. This Radiation blows the horn curved cover.

Science says at the origin of Universe, when temparatures were around 100 million K, Universe was dominated by radiation. There was a Single Unified force. Science also says the ‘Space’ is curved.

If this mapping is right, then space is ‘Horn-curved’.

The Sloka refers to ‘tva Surya’ or ‘Your Surya’. It is not our Surya. Since the Sloka is addressed to the Radiation/Energy that came out of the mountain, it is the Surya that the Radiation evolves. The Surya that Radiation evolves are those that make up the nucleus of the atoms called nucleons. The nucleons are Hadrons (protons, mesons and neutrons).

Science says, the Mesons(vajrin as in the Sloka) that are in the Quark-Gluon plasma (Chusmi) decay due to Weak force (Madhu as in the Sloka) over a period generating electrons, positrons and neutrinos (Svarabhanu – three way oscillating minute luminescent particles as in the Sloka). This makes the plasmic cloud to become inert (tamasa as in the Sloka)as it cannot evolve further.

According to science the nucleo-synthesis process (of generation of nucleons)(Surya as in the Sloka) could not happen further as the plasmic cloud could not evolve further.

According to Science, in that early Universe, weak force decay of the Mesons caused a large number of leptons (electrons, positrons and neutrinos). The positrons and electrons were constantly colliding into each other, annihilating each other and producing photons (Energy). Due to the high temperatures the photons probably were decaying back into positrons and electrons (Particles). Thus there was a constant back and forth between mass and energy at this stage.

According to science, there was no evolution to next phase (nucleo-synthesis phase) that could happen at this time.  It is because the plasmic cloud was vacillating between mass and energy.

Puranic Story of Svarabhanu (Asura) and Rahu-Ketu

As we saw in the Vedic Sloka, Svarabhanu, the three way oscillating minute luminescent particles are the leptons (that decayed from Mesons). At the end due to atris that submit and learnt the property of mass, they decouple and travel out.

Electrons, positrons, neutrinos and anti-neutrinos make up the leptons. As the Universe expanded electrons-positrons annihilated becoming photons which could not convert back to electrons and positrons.  The neutrinos and anti-neutrinos decouple and traveled into far-off space.

The one that causes the decoupling, according to this sloka, if my mapping is right, is the Atris or the W and Z Bosons, which submit and learn the property of Mass and which initiates the elastic and in-elastic scattering.

According to Puranas, during Samudra Manthan, Svarabhanu was an Asura who switched rows to Devas and had nectar.  Vishnu in the form of Mohini cut down that Asura into two. They become Rahu and Ketu, both Devas.

According to Science, the Mesons at the Origins of Universe, when subjected to decay of weak-force, as they produced leptons (electrons, positrons, neutrinos, anti-neutrinos) do not maintain Charge-parity, possibly producing more matter (electrons and neutrinos) than anti-matter (positrons and anti-neutrinos).

Since I had mapped weak-force to nectar of immortality (Madhu that causes weakness), the puranic story of Svarabhanu (Mesons that decay to Leptons) switching rows to Devas is similar to Mesons that decay into leptons switching parity and producing more Devas(matter) than Asuras (anti-matter).  Why did it occur..? It occurred due to the weak-force.

Since Vishnu cut down the Svarabhanu as the Z Bosons cut down the mesons into neutrinos, we can map that the Rahu and Ketu that result as the neutrino –anti-neutrino pairs.

Z Boson is a mohini because it is its own anti-particle (male and female put together).

This further means that neutrino are the Rahu, anti-neutrinos are the Ketus. Rahu-Kalam could then indicate some impact by neutrinos, though neutrinos pass through matter without any impact, primarily due to their minute size.

Neutrinos are produced in large numbers by Sun and anti-neutrinos are produced in large numbers in Earth due to radio-active decay.

Prevalence of Matter (Devas) over Anti-matter (Asuras)

The question science poses is if just the CP violation is enough for predominance of Matter over anti-matter. If we combine the Puranic depiction of Svarabhanu, the Asura (anti-matter) switching rows (Charge/Parity) and becoming like Deva (matter) and in the process get cut down by Mohini with the description of Svarabhanu in Rg Veda Mandala 5, Hymn 40, then large-scale CP violations triggered by cutting down of anti-matter by Mohini at the origins of Universe would explain the predominance of matter.

Mesons – The Sarveswara Rudra

The main thrust of this article series, the names of Eleven Rudra is that the Eleven Rudras declared by the Vedas are Eleven forces of nature that exist in the Universe.

In the previous blogs, I described how mesons filter the strong force (Soma) that evolved which the Puranas describe as Ala-hala poison that would have bound the Universe and comes be known as Thiru-neelaganda.

Here those mesonic clouds that originate from the mystical mountain decay due to Strong force and then due to weak force become leptons which then produce W and Z Bosons, which inturn learn mass from the Higgs field and start the in-elastic and elastic scattering of neutrinos and electrons, causing the expansion of Universe.

The W and Z Bosons trigger the evolution of Universe which were otherwise masked by weak-force and had become inert.

Thus the mesons are the Eswara of everything or Sarveswara that builds up the Universe. One complete anuvaka is dedicated in Rudram chamakam to them.
